La Paz-Bolivia

Already the way from the Titicaca lake to La Paz is impressive; first alone the lake and than you can see the changing landscape with small villages on the way sometimes.
Than when the bus arrives in La Paz you see the city the first time from above bevore you drive in the valley and it looks like a toy city with all the houses on the hillside.
For me it was the most interesting city so far because its so different from other big cities with all the market streets and the woman in tradicional clothes.

Schon die Fahrt vom Titicacasee nach La Paz war beeindruckend; zuerst ging es am See entlang und dann konnte man verschiedene Landschaften sehen und immer mal wieder kleine Doerfer.
Dann als der Bus La Paz erreichte sieht man die Stadt das erste Mal von oben und es sieht aus wie eine Spielzeugstadt mit den Haeusern am Hang.
Fuer mich ist es bisher die interessanteste Stadt weil sie so anders ist als andere grosse Staedte; mit all den Marktstrassen und den Frauen in traditioneller Kleidung.














My favorite place was the witch market where they sold all kind of herbs and magical stuff and also dried Alpacas. The people bury them under the new house for good luck.

Mein Lieblingsplatz war der Hexenmarkt mit all den Kraeutern und magischen Sachen und getrockneten Alpacas. Die Leute hier vergraben sie unter neuen Haeusern; das bringt Glueck.

That's in 5300 m and it was really cold and not that easy to breath.
