Ecuador/ Guayaquil

I left Colombia few days ago, stayed 2 days in Pasto just to relax and then crossed the border to Ecuador. From there I took a bus for 5 hours to Quito and stayed there one night without seeing the town because I wanted to go as fast as possible to Guayaquil and then to Galapagos. After one night in a beautiful hostel with good food and funny people I took a bus for 9 hours to Guayaquil and stayed there 3 days. Its an interesting city, hot, loud and busy and I met some friends of my Ecuadorian ex college. There where very nice, invited me for dinner, give me tips about Galapagos.

Ich habe Kolumbien vor ein paar Tagen verlassen, war 2 Tage in Past um mich auszuruhen und habe dann die Grenze zu Ecuador ueberquert. Von da fuhr ich 5 Stunden mit dem Bus nach Quito und verbrachte dort eine Nacht ohne die Stadt zu sehen weil ich so schnell wie moeglich weiter nach Guayaquil und dann nach Galapagos wollte. Nach einer Nacht in einem schoenen Hostel mit lecker Essen und lustigen Leuten in Quito nahm ich den Bus (9 Stunden) nach Guayaquil und blieb dort 3 Tage. Es ist eine interessante Stadt, heiss, laut und geschaeftig und ich traf einige Freunde eines ecuadorianischen Ex Kollegen. Sie waren sehr nett und habe mich zum essen eingeladen und mir Tips fuer Galapagos gegeben.

This is Quito, the view from my hostel. Will come back soon to see more of the town. The night I stayed there I had terrible headache because of the altitude and the red wine I had there and couldnt sleep the whole night.

Das ist Quito, der Blick aus meinem Hostel. Ich werde bald dorthin zurueckkommen und mehr von der Stadt sehen. Die Nacht als ich dort war hatte ich wegen der Hoehe und dem Wein den ich getrunken habe schreckliche Kopfschmerzen und konnte die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen.

Sorry, I m too lazy to write much. Today I got finally a flight to Galapagos and arrived in Santa Cruz. Its amazing! I saw already many animals including giant tortoise. Probably I will stay few days here, doing day trips and than move to isla Isabela for some days. I decided not to do one of this expensive boat trips like most of the tourist. My new friends in Guayaquil told me I can see the same animals when I go to Isabela and I prefer to explore the island on my own or just with a guide.

Tut mir leid, ich bin zu faul um viel zu schreiben. Heute habe ich endlich einen Flug nach Galapagos genomen und bin in Santa Cruz angekommen. Es ist toll!! Ich habe schon viele tiere gesehen inclusive Riesenschildkroeten. Wahrscheinlich werde ich einige Tage hier bleiben, ein paar tagestouren machen und dann auf die Insel Isbela fahren. Meine neuen Freunde aus Guayaquil haben mir versichert, dass ich alle Tiere auf Isabela sehen kann und ich entdecke die Insel lieber selbst oder mit einem Fuehrer als eine teure Bootstour zu machen wie die meisten Touristen.
Ich bin so aufgeregt weil ich endlich hier bin! Fotos kommen bald!!
