Cartagena de Indias

Meanwile I m here for 2 days and its a beautiful city! I m walking around in the small streets all day, drink fresh fruit juice and watch the people and chat with the guys who sell stuff on the street. There is Salsa music everywhere, I really love it!

Inzwischen bin ich schon 2 Tage hier in dieser wunderschoenen Stadt. Ich laufe den ganzen Tag durch die schmalen Gassen, trinke frischen Fruchtsaft und beobachte die Leute oder unterhalde mich mit den Typen die irgendwelche Sachen auf der Strasse verkaufen. Ueberall hoert man Salsamusik, ich liebe es!

This is the old part of the city. Have to say: until now I saw only the old part. The actual city is very big and I will explore it more in the next days.

Das ist die Altstadt. Bisher habe ich nur die Altstadt gesehen; die eigentliche Stadt ist sehr gross und ich werde in den naechsten Tagen mehr davon sehen.

Diese Strassen sind in der Naehe meines Hotels. Das Hotel ist nur 10 Minuten von der Altstadt entfernt.

And this is my hotel; the open door is the door to my room. Its a simple room with a bed and shower and a very reasonable price - around 12 Euro.
They have also a kitchen (not that I want to cook), free coffee, internet and laundry service.
The name of the hotel is Hotel Holiday in calle de media luna/ Getsmani/ Cartagena.

Das ist mein Hotel; die offene Tuer ist die Tuer zu meinem Zimmer. Es ist ein einfaches Zimmer mit Bett, Dusche und zu einem sehr guenstigen Preis - ungefaehr 12 Euro.
Es gibt hier auch eine Kueche (nicht das ich kochen will..) kostenlosen Kaffee den ganzen Tag, Internet und Waescheservice.
Das Hotel heisst Hotel Holiday und ist in der calle de media luna/ Getsmani/ Bogota.

You can buy anything on the street: Avocado, fruits, cuban cigars, water, coffee, kokain, paintings, emeralds...

Man kann alles auf der Strasse kaufen: Avocados, Fruechte, kubanische Zigarren, Wasser, Kaffee, Kokain, Gemaelde, Smaragde...



Cartagena is directly at the sea with many birds and beautiful beaches.
The place where I took this picture was just outside the wall of the old town. Not so many people where around and a car stopped and the woman told me, I should better go back to the old town because its dangerous to stay here alone. She was afraid somebody could steal my bag. Again I noticed here that the people take care of the tourists and want them to have a good time.

Cartagena liegt direkt am Meer und es gibt viele Voegel und schoene Straende.
Das Foto habe ich direkt ausserhalb der Stadtmauer gemacht. Es gwaren nur wenige Leute da; ein Auto hielt an und die Frau sagte mir, ich soll besser zurueck in die Stadt gehen weil es zu gefaehrlich ist. Sie hatte Angs, jemand wuerde meine Tasche klauen. Hier habe ich wieder mehrmals gemerkt, dass die Leute auf Touristen aufpassen und wollen, dass sie eine gute Zeit in Kolumbien haben.
