I believe I can fly..../ ich glaube ich kann fliegen...

Last Friday I did a tandem paragliding flight and liked it so much that I decided to make a course to fly on my own. The course started saturday and first I had to practice starting the glider. It was very hard because I had to bring up the glider in the air and run down the hill. I fell down few times and my arms look now very bad with lots of bruise. Next step was to fligh down a small hill; and always I had to carry up the whole equipment back to the top of the hill.
Than, finally today I had my first two single flights!! Ok, I had to admit that I was today morning still to scared and asked for one more tandem flight but later I was brave enough and it was great... still scary when the wind brought me higher and higher but I did very good.

Letzten Freitag habe ich einen Paragliding Tandem Flug gemacht und war so begeistert davon, dass ich mich entschlossen habe, einen Kurs zu machen und selber fliegen zu lernen. Der Kurs begann am Samstag und zuerst musste ich lernen, wie man startet. Das war ziemlich schwierig weil ich den Gleitschirm in die Luft bringen musste und danach einen Berg runterrennen musste. Ich fiel ein paarmal hin und inzwischen sehen meine Arme schrecklich aus, mit vielen blauen Flecken.
Als naechstes konnte ich einen kleinen Huegel runterfliegen und musste jedesmal die gesamte Ausruestung wieder den Berg hinauf schleppen.
Dann hatte ich endlich heute meine ersten 2 Alleinfluege!! Ok, ich muss zugeben dass ich heute morgen noch etwas aengstlich war und nochmal einen Tandemflug wollte aber spaeter war ich mutig genug es selber zu versuchen und es war toll... immer noch etwas erschreckend wenn der Wind mich hoeher brachte aber ich habe es sehr gut gemacht.

I will go this Friday with some people to Balboa; there is a paragliding competition this weekend and I can fly and practise there and its on my way to Ecuador. And its fun to stay with the people I met here!

Diesen Freitag werde ich mit einigen Leuten nach Balboa gehen; dort gibt es einen Paragliding Wettbewerb und ich kann dort fliegen und ueben und es ist auf dem Weg nach Ecuador. Und es macht soviel Spass, mit den Leuten zusammen zu sein, die ich hier getroffen habe!
