San Cipriano

I stayed 2 days in the Amazonas in San Cipriano. To go there, first I had to take the bus to Cordoba. On the street I found one with the sign Cordoba; very easy. After 40 min we arrived but it turnt out that it was not the village Cordoba but a part of Cali. Ok, I had to go back and the driver was so nice to bring me to the right bus station.
After 2 hour drive through a beautiful scenery I arrived in Cordoba, a very small village in the rainforest. From there I took a kind of "train" to San Cipriano, my final destination.

Ich war 2 Tage im Amazonas in San Cipriano. Um dahin zu kommen, musste ich zuerst den Bus nach Cordoba nehmen. An der Strasse fand ich einen Bus dahin, sehr einfach. Nach 40 min kamen wir an aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es ein Stadtteil von Cali war und nicht das Dorf Cordoba. Ich musste zurueck fahren und der Fahrer war so nett mich zur richtigen Haltestelle zu bringen.
Nach 2 Stunden Fahrt durch eine wunderschoene Landschaft erreichte ich das kleine Dorf Cordoba im Regenwald. Von hier nahm ich eine Art "Zug" nach San Cipriano.

And the transport system invented by local people looks like this: the wooden platform has weels driving on the rail. The motobike is connected with the frontweel to the platform and is driving the platform.

Und das ist das Transportsystem, von den Einheimischen erfunden: die Holzplattform hat Raeder die auf den Schienen fahren. Das Moped ist vorn mit der Platform verbunden und treibt sie an.

There is only one rail and when trains coming from both sides, one has to get of and let the other pass. It happend a small exident wile the people where discussing who had to get off, one train coming from behinde couldnt stop and crashed into the others. Nothing serious happend, just for a wile people where shouting to each other but than everybody was laughing and continued.

Es gibt nur eine Schiene und wenn von beiden Seiten Zuege kommen, muss einer von den Schienen runter und den anderen passieren lassen. Es passierte ein kleiner Unfall; waehrend die Leute diskutierten wer runter muss, kam ein Zug von hinten und fuhr in die anderen. Es ist nichts passiert, die Leute schrien sich eine Weile an und lachten dann und fuhren weiter.


And this is San Cipriano, a village in the forest at a cristal clear river with lots of dogs, cats, children; some simple hostels and restaurants and many happy people.

Und das ist San Cipriano, ein Dorf im Wald an einem kristallklaren Fluss mit vielen Hunden, Katzen, Kindern; einfachen Hostels und Restaurants und vielen gluecklichen Menschen.


This is the cute daughter of the owner of the hostel I stayed. She was chatting with me all the time though I could understand only half of it.

Das ist die suesse Tochter des Hosteleigentuemers. Sie hat sich die ganze Zeit mit mir unterhalten, obwohl ich nur die Haelfte verstanden habe.
